We're moving!!!!

After 5 years at the lovely Crestline Estates...(no really it has been quite a blessing even though I like to joke about it :) Ryan and I have FINALLY found out where we will be moving...
...can you guess...

... know it yet?...

DELAWARE!!!!! And we are sooooo excited!!
Delaware was our #1 choice when prioritizing the AF bases that were listed as options. The base in Dover, Delaware was perfect for MANY reasons and we feel very blessed to have gotten our first choice when the probability of that seemed unlikely :) Now the adventure ahead for us is new and so exciting for a gal who has NEVER lived outside of Utah. Though leaving my family is going to be SUPER hard (I don't know what I am going to do without my best friend and sister, Christina...lots and lots of phone calls and visits I hope!!) I am very exciting for this new chapter in the Dick saga :)

Sleeping Beauty's Castle!

Ryan and I were married in the Salt Lake Temple...the most beautiful place EVER!! Jane and Beckham had never been there so last Saturday, Ryan and I decided to go and spend some time around the temple. It was wonderful! Jane LOVED it and kept calling it Sleeping Beauty's castle :)

Beckham just loved running around and being free!!
We also went to the temple visitors center. I had never been there before....so sad...I know. It was really cool!! Jane loved the beautiful big pictures of Jesus' life.

She also thought walking up to the statue of Christ was amazing! At one point we heard her exclaim, "I've never seen this in all my life!" It was so funny!

In the basement there was a very fascinating display about ancient prophets as well as Joseph Smith. It was really wonderful!
As we were getting in the car to go home Jane said, "That was not a little bit of fun, it was a lot of fun!" She is so cute. And Beckham was so cooperative, patient and such a good boy the whole time!! What a fun day we had at the "Sleeping Beauty's castle"!

Family Night!!

I won a free ticket at Roberts to one of their family nights that they hold every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month. We went last Monday, and it was so darling! We were able to make a little journal for Jane and Beckham. They had treats, too!
Jane got to punch the holes for the little books...she loved feeling so grown up. The lady helping us was darling and made Jane feel like such a big girl :)
She especially loved using the glue stick to glue all the pieces together.
Here is her finished product! She had so much fun :)
I made Bekcham's book while poor Ryan chased him all around. I think they turned out pretty good!
Beckham looked at his book for about .5 seconds and was done...oh well, I had fun making it and what a fun family night this was!!
I had to include these cute pics of the kiddos. Beckham just started standing at the counter with Jane to eat snacks!! He LOVES feeling so grown up. These kids are just growing up way too fast :)

Family time is the BEST!!

St. Patty's Day!!!

I love St. Patrick's Day!!! It's a fun holiday that precedes SPRING and warm weather...yay!! Last year, we started a tradition of making a leprechaun trap with Jane, setting it, and hoping we catch one of the sneaky little guys the next morning!! And so the search continued this year. Here's Jane on St. Patrick's day morning, next to the trap we made together :) Did we catch one???
Not this year, but he did leave behind some of his gold coins and a special clover bracelet for Jane to wear to school so no one would pinch her :)
Jane, as usual, was thrilled at the surprise and was not at all sad about not catching a leprechaun.
Later on that evening, I made the traditional Irish dish, corned beef and cabbage. We have this every year on St.Patty's day! I know it doesn't look like much, but it really is so delicious!
I hope your St. Patrick's Day was as wonderful as ours was :)

2 Amazing Performances!!

Ryan and I went to the BYU vs New Mexico game (it turned out to be the worst game ever...I am totally bad luck for BYU) a few weeks ago and was able to see "Jean's Golden Girls" perform at half time! My super fun mom dances in this group and they are AMAZING and so CUTE!! The oldest lady that dances in the group is in her 80's- sooooo cool :)

My mom was on the front row (third from the front) and kicked some serious butt!! She was even on tv for a a little bit :) GO MOM!! All the BYU students were sweet and absolutely cheered so loud for these amazing ladies! It was ALOT of fun :)

And WONDERFUL little Jane had a Patriotic program last week at her school that was to die for! It was the most adorable thing in the world :) All the kids sang soooo loud and even had actions! They sand songs like: "It's a grand ol' flag," Yankee doodle," and "the Pledge of allegiance". Christina, Ryan and I were all there to cheer Jane on...and Mae and Beckham of course!
Jane gets a little star struck in front of a crowd, but she sure did great! We were so proud of her!
The highlight of the whole show was when they brought out the hats...
How cute is that?!!
I had to include this doozy of a picture of Beckham because it is so funny!! This is what he looked like after his nap one afternoon :) How this happened...I don't know, but it sure made me chuckle!

Cousins :)

Last week, my brother, Matthew, and sis-in-law, Courtney, came into town with their sweet kids, Charlotte and Edward. All the little Harper family cousins had such fun playing together!! Beckham and Edward had some issues getting along, though! With Ryan's help, they actually played together a little bit!
...Ryan needed to help...ALOT!!
At one point, Edward had Beckham tackled! It was funny, but Beckham didn't like it very much at all...he's used to hanging out with girls!
Charlotte and Jane had a lot of fun together being the only two girls of similar age in the bunch!
Here's one of the whole group of ADORABLE little cousins. Jane, Beckham, Charlotte (under Beckham) Edward, Braden, Ashton and Mae!! We missed little Jack who would have made the group complete :)
I loved seeing my AWESOME brother, Matthew, again! He never changes and it is just like old times when he is around!!
Just about the cutest picture EVER of Jane and Charlotte singing and playing the piano together!! Jane is really into it... :)
It was such a treat having Matthew, Courtney, Charlotte and Edward in town for a little while..hopefully we will see them again soon!! I have the greatest family in the world :)

Daddy Daughter Ball

I am constantly telling everyone how WONDERFUL Jane's school, Kid's Village, is...and it is no lie! This passed Saturday, Jane and Ryan were able to attend a "Daddy, Daughter Ball" put on by Jane's school. We had to buy tickets, but the amazing night Jane and Ryan had together was soooooo worth it :) On the invite, it was requested that everyone dress "Fancy"...so that we did. Here's is Jane with curlers in her hair getting ready for her "First Date" :)
Here's is a very PROUD Jane all ready for the Ball....she looked so adorable!
Here she is gazing at herself in the mirror like Cinderella all dolled up for the ball :)
Here's Ryan, all dressed up as well :), ready to escort an ecstatic Jane to the Ball!! I think I was the most excited of anyone and I wasn't even going. The whole thing sounded just plain darling!!
Jane and Ryan arrived to a magnificently decorated Kid's Village. There were lights and balloons everywhere. The room was a flash back to the fifty's!! Here, Jane is standing next to the condiment table where they were able to dress up their specially ordered food made by the chef especially for Jane!
In the kitchen, there were tables and tables of treats and delicious things to drink. There was also, an ice cream bar where they were able to create their own ice cream delight:)
Jane asked the chef for a hot dog, of which she took two bites. She also helped herself to an orange soda, some icing on a red velvet cupcake and some ice cream!!
Then, she was ready to do a little dancing on the dance floor!!
There was a hired DJ playing 50's swing music and hired dancers doing some fancy dancing for everyone there.
Jane was clearly enthralled with it all :)
There was also a professional photographer there from whom each couple got a picture together. In another room, everyone was able to decorate an adorable frame for their photos with jewels, bows and buttons. It is already up in Jane's room and is just so sweet :) Jane really had a BLAST!!
To top off this AMAZING night, a huge net on the ceiling holding hundreds of balloons was released and everyone was showered with balloons before going home for the night!!
Thank you Kid's Village for an amazing memory made which was as special for Ryan as it clearly was for Jane!! I LOVE that school :)
