School, School and Karate!!!

We have been busy with so many other fun things with Fall and all the fun that goes along with it.  And I have been busy posting about that.  However, Beckham and I have been continuing onward with our letter of the week school!!!  He loves, loves, loves it and I have been so pleasantly surprised at how well he has been learning his letters and how to write them!!  I will do a breif catch up on all the letter fun we have been having :) Along with doing his work book, writing his letters and practicing recognizing them, we do fun letter activities as well!!

For G week Beckham made a Glitter sand art project...
 We Grew a Gator...
It took about the whole week but he grew huge!!! And Beckham thought it was super cool.
And Beckham made a Garden mosaic...

For H week we made a cool safari Hat...
And a Halloween House with scary Halloween stickers in honor of Halloween...
For I week we made spooky halloween Ice cubes.  They were shaped like skulls and were fruit punch flavored with a raspberry brain inside...yum!!
Beckham made and Instrument and the kids loved dancing to his jazzy music!!

For J week we put up the bouncy house so Beckham could Jump and Jump and Jump!!
We made Jell-o...Orange for Halloween of course :)
 Beckham loved it!!
 And for K week...
We made a learned about and made a Kangaroo...
 With a real pouch!!
And it was dumb luck that K week happened to land on the week that Beckham was able to start KARATE!!!  He was so excited and looked oh so darling in his uniform!!!
He is by far the youngest one in his class (he is the tiny one on the back right)!!  He loves learning and practicing all the kicks!!!

Beckham turns 4 Spiderman Style!!!!

My baby is 4!!!   He is so grown up and I am so proud of the sweet boy he has become. He is smart, curious, creative, goofy and so so kind :) He wanted a Spiderman birthday and we had a lot of superhero fun!! Here is Beckham standing in front of one of his party games :)

 The table...
And the best Spiderman cake I could muster...I actually did try really hard, I am just not a very good cake decorator.  But I have fun doing it anyway.
 Brother and sister...so sweet!
I just really love this boy and how excited he was for his party!!
When all of Beckham's darling little friends arrived, we wasted no time starting the fun.  They decorated their Spiderman masks with stickers.
Here is Beckham's creation...upside down...but still lookin' good!
This is my favorite picture of the day.  All the kids were super excited to play the "web a bad guy" game!!
They got to use silly string to "web" one of the villains :)
Than we played "Hot Spiderman"...or Hot potato :)
The birthday boy got to pull the string on Spiderman's web to see what came out of it!!
We had to kill some more time before the pizza came so we played telephone.
 And opened presents :)

When the pizza finally came, everyone devoured it...
Here is the birthday boy blowing out his candles :)
And playing with his toys with daddy after all the kids had gone home :)
I am so glad we have our sweet boy Beckham in our family!! We love him so much.  Thanks to all of our family and friends who made his day so special :)

A Girl Always Misses Her Daddy!!

My great big teddy bear of a dad came to visit us over Halloween weekend!!!  It was a quick trip, but we had oh so much fun. And my kids were THRILLED to have grandpa stay with us for the first time EVER!! We really tried to pack in the fun and...as usual... have some good ol' East Coast adventures :)

One thing that little old Delaware is known for is "Punkin Chunkin" so we decided it was a must see, since none of us had ever seen it.  Fortunately for us, it was chilly and rainy on the morning we decided to go so there wasn't much of a crowd. "Punkin Chunkin" is known for its crazy crowds and usually this whole corn field that my dad and the kids are standing in is FULL of cars.  So even though is was a little chilly, I think we lucked out :)
Here are a few pretty poor pictures of the pumpkins being launched thousands of feet away by some pretty amazing machines!!   It was hard to capture because it would happen soooo fast!!
If you click on this picture to get a close up, you can see the tiny pumpkin  hundreds of feet in the air, having just been chucked by the catapult named "Chunk Norris"  haha :) Clever!!!  It was truly amazing to see these machines in action and  to be honest...we had ALOT more fun than I thought we would!!
Later we enjoyed some yummy food and scrumptious funnel cakes...
We also had a great day in Philly!!! We took my dad to see Valley Forge which is amazing!!! The colorful Fall leaves were mesmerizing...I loved them.
Here's the gang in front of the house George Washington rented while staying at Valley Forge!!  The handrails on the stairs were still original!!  That's right...we touched the same handrails that George Washington did...ya we are cool!!!
I loved this family picture :)  It was a beautiful day!!
And here we are outside of Independence Hall where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed.  It really never gets old...awesome every time :)
Thanks dad for coming out to see us in tiny old Delaware :)  We loved having you and miss you already!!!

The Sweetest Halloween!!

We have had A LOT of fun this October!! Besides having lots of visitors, we were able to have some super fun Halloween adventures :)!! Ryan, the kids and I attended the "Hot Dogs for Heroes" event at Jane's school.  We were able to watch "It's the great Pumpkin Charlies Brown" while eating a hot dog picnic outside.  It was chilly but such a lovely night!!  The school put it on for the kids to honor the heroes in their lives :) So sweet!!
Of course we attended the annual Dover 1st Ward trunk or treat!!  I love doing this every year.  Jane was the cutest Strawberry Shortcake ever...
And Beckham was the coolest Batman!!!
Our trunk was a giant spider web this year and I was the spider's dinner...yikes!!!
There were Halloween games and snacks as well as trunk or treating!!

Jane had a school assignment to make a character pumpkin.  We had a lot of fun with this assignment :) Can you guess who Jane's pumpkin is??
Beckham made a CRAZY pumpkin man too!!
And Halloween night was especially wonderful this year!!! The kids got to go trick-or-treating with two special people this year!!  One was daddy!!!  Last year he was gone to a training on Halloween.
And Grandpa came to visit us this year for Halloween!!! The kids had a BLAST with him!!
And the night ended with what is sure to be a very fond memory for me:)!!  Our best Dover friends and neighbors all came out to sit on the side walk with us while we handed out our candy to trick-or-treaters as all the kids, in their darling costumes, munched on their goodies and ran around scaring and chasing each other!!!
We had just the best October and Halloween ever!!  Oh, and if you couldn't guess...Jane's school pumpkin was Fancy Nancy!!! :)
