Sad Boy, Happy Girl
Beckham recently got his very first hair cut!! It was much needed...he had the "friar tuck" going on in the back, wings over his ears and a "free willy" tip over mohawk on top...
It started out well...
But took a turn for the worst quick. Poor little Beckham was so frightened, he was shaking. It was so sad...
But, daddy stuck with it and got the job done and if I do say so myself...Beckham looks quite handsome:)

One of Jane's most favorite things has got to be water...drinking it, swimming in it, splashing it, spraying it, spitting it out and everything else. So, when we went to the Gateway Mall in Salt Lake and let Jane play in the fountains...she was in complete heaven.
She wasn't even scared this time. Last year when we came she was absolutely petrified. Thank heaven they grow out of silly things like that. She even got nailed right in the face once and totally kept her cool!
She was pretty enthralled with it all.
Daddy even joined in for a moment...he's one big kid himself.
Just some more summer fun and memories for the books :)

Nothing is better than family!!
We have had lots of fun hanging out with family lately. Jane especially loves her cousins! We babysit little cousin Mae every now and then and Jane just has a blast with her! Here are all the kids playing in Jane's bouncy house!
Jane especially loves her cousin Emma who looks out for her around all the rowdy boys :)
My sister-in-law, Angie, invited us to go to the library for an Alice in Wonderland themed story time. It was so adorable! Here is Jane going through the looking glass and into Wonderland :)
There were thousands of balloons of giant flowers and characters from the movie! This made it really feel like Wonderland and was so fun!
Jane even got called onto stage as a volunteer to help with one of the stories. Emma was nice enough to go up on stage with Jane and help her get through it...she started crying...

Here is Jane putting a tea cup on her head like a hat!
And here is a picture of the amazing flowers...so cute :)
We were also able to go to Park City with my BESTEST FRIEND and SISTER, Christina and her darling daughter, Mae. I had so much fun taking Jane down the Alpine coaster! We went as fast as we could and she loved it!
While riding the Alpine slide, poor Ryan got stuck behind a young girl who didn't know how to drive her sled. So, he had to push her down the whole way...it didn't make for a very exciting ride...his face says it all. but we still had fun :)
We have the best family ever!!

2 Victories... for a pooper and a princess!!
POTTY TRAINING STINKS!!! At least for us, potty training was HARD! We basically had to pull out ALL the stops we could think of to get this girl to poop on the potty. Learning to pee was no problem at all for Jane. She had that down within minutes of beginning our potty training...but little did we know we were going to have to pull out every ounce of creativity we could muster to get this girl to start poopin' :)
Among the countless methods we tried, we started by introducing the poop fairy to Jane. Lately, she has been into Tinkerbell so we thought this would be a good idea. So, every time she would even begin to push on the potty (even that was HUGE for Jane) the "poop fairy" (AKA Ryan hiding outside the door) would throw in some chocolate chips and start singing and dancing...(AKA Ryan's I Phone). That got her to push...but still no poop! I am not kidding when I say we had several sessions of screaming and crying on the potty that lasted up to an hour...Jane would work harder to hold her poop in that to just let it go....so exhausting!!
Finally, we discovered the "POO CHART"- this was the key to our success.
We got the most amazingly beautiful stickers we could find and let Jane put one on her "Poo Chart" every time she pooped in the potty. Now, a rapidly growing chart and many stickers later we can proudly say that Jane in FULLY POTTY TRAINED!! Hooray...I have never been happier!!
Also, as an after thought we entered Jane into the Orem Summerfest baby contest, just for fun! We were so PROUD when Jane won second place in her age category out if tons and tons of applicants. Jane dressed as princess Aurora from Sleeping Beauty and sang the theme song from the movie. She did amazing! Here she is going up with daddy to collect her prizes :)
Here she is proudly showing off her winnings!!
She was so thrilled about her prize bag that she even fell asleep with it in the car!
We are a proud mama and papa!!

It Never gets Old...
Provo Canyon has been one of my FAVORITE places for years now and it just never gets old. I especially love being able to take my kids there now and introduce them to all the beautiful places Provo Canyon has to offer.
One day we took the kids up to Sundance. We had a lovely walk, it was such a nice day!Thursday, June 3, 2010
Jane and Beckham!
Jane has been saying the coolest things lately...
*When I get her dressed in the morning and take off her PJ's she usually proclaims, "I'm so naked!"
*We were driving in the car and Ry and I were talking. Somewhere in the conversation, I had to say "I'm smart enough...and so on" After I was done with my sentence we hear Jane in the back say, "I'm smart enough, too!"
*Ryan likes to lay with Jane in her bed for a few minutes right before she goes to sleep...Jane asks for this every night :). One night Jane patted Ryan's head and said, "Is your head so bushy?" Ryan laughed and said, "Yes." Jane continues, "Is your head so fuzzy?"
* One morning Jane came walking up to me while I was feeding Beckham with a pained look on her face and said, "My stomach really hurts...cause I need a sucker."
*We really have to watch what we say around Jane cause she listens...and learns too fast. One day I was apparently mad about something and said, "I am so pissed." I didn't even know Jane was listening to me. But, several hours later she stopped what she was doing (painting) looked at me with a funny little smile and said, "Are you so pissed?"
*Jane was naked, due to just waking up from a nap having wet her bed (for the first time :) and said, "I want to go back to sleep with my naked."
* Jane came up to Ryan one Sunday morning after she was all ready for church and said, "Look at me, I'm so beautiful!"
A few little known facts about Beckham and age 7months:
*He can roll all around the house now- backwards forwards, right, left, you name it :0
*He can sit up pretty well now, but loves to sit up them throw himself back falling onto a pillow. He gets such a kick out of this
*He has learned to scream from his big sister and loves to do it all the time now...when he's mad or even just for fun...and especially in restaurants, sacrament meetings, and around the elderly when I really want him to be quiet.
*He REFUSES to take a binki.
*He loves being around people and meeting new people and will always deliver a HUGE smile!
*He loves to eat anything but his formula (I can't say I blame him, it smells like dog food)
*He has the funniest little belly laugh :)
WE HAVE THE BEST KIDS EVER!!
