4 years and counting!!!

Ryan and I have been married for four years now!! The big day occurred four years ago on November 23rd, 2005. These have been the happiest, most adventurous and wonderful four years of my life!! I have the sweetest, most hard working husband in the world and I am so proud of him!!

We have come a long way in four years!! A few of the highlights have been- of course having our two beautiful children, Jane and Beckham, Ryan almost making me a widow skiing down sundance (he really nearly died!!), my graduation from BYU, Ryan entering a pharmD program, getting our wonderful job at Crestline that has been such a blessing, several fabulous trips- New York, Disneyland, snowmobiling through Yellowstone, etc. etc. I have so many wonderful memories of our four years together and there will be many more to come!!

Because we had a baby two weeks ago we were unable to do anything too extravagant for our anniversary this year. So, here are a few pics of Ryan and I that I love:

Welcome William Beckham Dick

Love multiplies it doesn't divide!!

Our handsome little man was born on Monday, November 9th, 2009 at 1:36pm. He was 8 pounds and 4 ounces- just like Jane- and was 19 inches long- also just like Jane...Boy, I really know how to cook em :) The labor was so pleasant- yes,I said pleasant, and our little guy was healthy and happy!! I am a pleased momma!!

The first few days of Beckham's life were not without drama though. Beckham's circumcision went slightly awry and he bled more than normal and we had to stay an extra night in the hospital- poor little guy. And the worst thing that Beckham has had to endure was a sinus infection- very rare in newborns!! He couldn't breath and therefore couldn't eat!! It was so horrible to watch him struggle to breath- I shed many tears over that!! But he has been on medication and that is really clearing up and all is well again at the Dick house!!

Here is little Beckham being weighed!!
Here he is with his mommy for the first time!! Love at first sight!
I have a picture of Jane when she was first born and she is in this exact same position- they look so much alike!!
Here is Beckham at home awaiting a diaper change...never fun for him!! He has already peed during this process several times and soiled our bed, my clothes, his very own face...yikes. I have since then wised up and the "old faithful" pee episodes have since diminished- ahhh, boys!!
He's so handsome and such a good boy despite all he has been through!
Here is Jane holding her new little brother, Beckham!!! They currently have a love/hate relationship...though I know it will get better :)
And here is just a cute pic of Jane "feeding" her bunny with aunt Christina's hooter hider. Two year olds really watch and observe, don't they?! She is so cute!!
So, our little family of three is now our little family of four and we are so happy!! And love most definately multiplies, not divides!! Thank you to everyone who has been helping with Jane and bringing meals over- it has been so needed and such a life saver. We love you all!!

A spooktakular Halloween...mooohahahah

Halloween this year was the absolute best ever!! I have never had such a fun and memorable Halloween. My little Jane is getting older, we are expecting a new addition oh so soon and I am just so in love with my little family- they are the BEST and I can't get enough of them!!

The Halloween festivities began on Friday night with our annual ward party!! This is always a blast because everyone gets so into it- and I love it!! I made a gourmet snack to contribute to the vast array of scary treats and this is what I came up with...

So, I am still working on my Martha Stewart gourmet-ness....but I will get there one day :)
I was pleasantly surprised this year when Ryan decided not to be a nincompoop- he not only agreed to dress up, but he got totally into it!! Jane was a bug, I was a black widow spider and Ryan was an exterminator!! He had very convincing facial hair, a spray pack, work shirt, mouse traps and all the works!! We looked great...despite the total ginormous-ness of the 9 month prego black widow and all :)
Here is just a great candid shot of Ryan at the party...he makes a pretty handsome exterminator!!This was Jane's first year of real trick-or-treating- oh so fun!! ...Cutest love bug ever!!!
We went around Ryan's parents' neighborhood and everyone was so sweet!! Jane obviously loved it!
We practiced knocking and saying trick-or-treat with Jane so she would be a pro for Halloween night...
However, every time the door opened, she was so dumbstruck that all our practice went straight out the window and she was back to her typical act of blank staring...oh well. This is Ryan's wonderful, sweet neighbor who he grew up with. She was so fun to talk to and she was extra sweet with Jane!!
All in all, trick-or-treating was a success!!
I had to throw this one in...baby Mae is just so precious in her Halloween get-up-Aaadorable!!
"No more pictures please..."
Jane with her favorite and most adored cousin, baby Mae!!! They were sort of matching!!
Another year of the best holiday ever come and gone...ah sweet memories!!
